Rumbling behind my backyard
The Metra train stop

I’ve never ridden
Any train from this station
In fifty-one years.

This is not the El
This train runs on diesel fuel
And lacks graffiti.

The Kedzie Metra
Station needs renovation.
It’s falling apart.
