Not considered public art?
It’s art… in public.

By artists risking arrest
To create their art.

All tags ain’t equal.
Some show mastery of craft
Others just boost blight.

Tags send messages,
Ubiquitous calling cards,
Spray-painted on walls.

Why is graffiti
Not considered public art?
Artistic freedom.

Just for the record:
I realize graffiti’s
A property crime.

Does “public art” mean,
“Sanctioned and approved artworks”
Or “art in public?”
