We’ve ignored white rage
And disowned its legacy:
Disaffected whites.
2.
This sleeping giant
Was courted by Donald Trump
In the election.
3.
The angry white men
Who miss their stolen country-
And they want it back!
4.
They’re Trump’s loyal base
That tenacious percentage
That won’t go away.
5.
On releasing hounds:
Some dogs won’t answer whistles
Because they’re rabid.
6.
Two days- um, later…
Trump slaps racists on the wrists.
Anyone surprised?
