The small child smiled, “Hi!”
Their world didn’t have “strangers”
Just lots of new friends.

Couldn’t ignore them
And their warm friendly greeting.
So, I answered, “Hi!”

It was Mother’s Day
Their mom was riding the train
With two small children.

All strangers ain’t
Monsters but… you don’t know me!
Your mom’s watching
5.
The young mother smiled,
As if to apologize
For the friendliness
Of their highly social child
Greeting boarding passengers.
